Compassion based
collaborative therapy
for an enhanced well being.
our values
01.
relationship
At our practice, we acknowledge the link between the mind and body and consider it essential to address both for optimal therapeutic outcomes. To achieve this, we combine conventional talk therapy with mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic experiencing techniques.
02.
kindness
At our practice, a key objective of therapy is to assist clients in cultivating self-compassion instead of self-criticism. We approach therapy from a place of recognizing our clients' innate humanity and supporting them with kindness and respect, rather than perceiving them as flawed and requiring repair.
03.
coordination
At our practice, we hold the belief that the client-therapist relationship is sacred and built on mutual respect and collaboration. We also embrace the notion that clients possess the innate resources necessary for healing and personal development. As such, we regard our clients as essential and empowered partners in their own growth and healing journey.
ABOUT Lauren Hajisafari, LCSW
Welcome to Ride the Wave Counseling! My name is Lauren Hajisafari, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, graduate of Rutgers University, an advocate for mental health and an ally for diversity and inclusion.
The strength and self-awareness it takes to recognize that you need help should not go unnoticed. It is also where our work together starts. It can be both nerve-wracking and uncomfortable to take the next step and find a therapist. While deciding to seek therapy is hard enough, finding an approachable and empathetic therapist should not be.
My passion is to create a safe and collaborative environment for my clients to feel empowered and encouraged to grow to their full potential. I believe a strong rapport makes the therapeutic process more supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental without effort. I utilize a whole-person/strengths-based approach which allows my client’s to remain in the driver’s seat and in control of their treatment.
The relationship with yourself is the most important one that you have. I commend you on taking the step to look for a therapist! I look forward to working with you and witnessing the hard work and courage it takes to reach your goals and finding a happier you!
